Handmade Slab made Frozen Pond Asymmetric Fruit Bowl

Description

A hand made slab built asymmetric oval ceramic fruit bowl with foot. Made by us in our garden studio in Hampshire, just inside the beautiful South Downs National Park.

We make these bowls by creating slabs of clay which are moulded over found objects to give them their unique asymmetric and variated shape. We attach a foot to the bowl and then blend everything together. After it has dried for a week or so it is then bisque fired. After which a Frozen Pond glaze technique is applied which creates a chemical reaction in the glaze fire stage in the kiln which gives it this incredibly beautiful appearance. These pieces are individually made and therefore all sizes are approximate.
